Temperature Not Higher Than 100 F

Studies have shown that 10 minutes in a hot tub can raise your body temperature to higher than 101F which can increase the risk of neural tube defects which are the serious brain and spinal cord abnormalities in the fetus. Not After Water Breaks

As per experts, it is also not advisable for expecting mothers to soak in a bathtub after the water breaks. When your water breaks, the amniotic sac has ruptured and the baby might not be protected from the effects of hot water. This can increase the chances of infections for both the mother and the baby.

Say No To Hot Tubs

Pregnant women must avoid hot tubs or saunas. The reason might be that they are different from warm water baths. In hot tubs, the water is constantly recycled to maintain a high temperature.
