Emphasis On Achievements

While it is good to point out your child's achievements, emphasising too much on them can reduce your kid's self-worth, as it may make them believe they are only worth whatever they have achieved.

Lack Of Praise

Make sure to praise your child just enough, otherwise they may end up thinking they are not good enough, or that nothing about them makes you happy and proud.

Overprotection

Do not protect your child too much. Let them know that they can be independent, and allow them to make their own decisions.

Conditional Love

Parenthood is about loving your child unconditionally, and even embracing their mistakes. If you put conditions in love, your child may feel inadequate and it can be disastrous for their self-worth.
