You gotta give those nimble baby fingers some exercise to develop their gross motor skills. What better than beading! Get a shoelace (the aglets make it easier to pass through a bead) and some chunky beads and let the toddlers get to work.

Forewarning: This activity can get a little messy, so lay out a huge plastic mat to contain the spills. Toddlers love to pour, transfer, whisk and crack eggs. So why not get them to make a healthy brownie (the recipe is listed below)! Get cute aprons and chef hat and let them be you sous chefs. This one makes for very cute pictures.

Kids love messy play, moms clearly don't like the after clean-up. So that is when kinetic play comes to the rescue. Feels and acts like regular sand, but is gooey and can be molded in a lump. It's a treat to play with and doen't need much of a clean up.

Colours is a classic playdate activity. Most toddlers can handle liquid paint and will be happy with painting just their bodies and not the wall and furniture. Again, spread out a plastic mat and let the kids enjoy. Your playdate will definitely be a successful one.
