Massaging your baby may seem like a difficult task, especially if doing it for the first time. But if you are planning to oil massage your baby all by yourself, then here is a step-by-step guide to help you out.
Start with the upper body. Massage the face of your child with your fingers starting from the middle of the forehead.
Next, massage the area near the eyes in round circular motion, starting from the forehead.
Now, massage gently on the upper lip area, starting from the centre of the lip. Use your thumbs to do so.
Next, massage the area of the chin stating from centre of the chin to the ends of your lips (from downwards to upwards) with the help of your thumbs.
Get down to the chest area and massage it as shown in the pic.
Once you massage the chest area, massage the area near the abdomen as shown in the pic.
Next, massage the entire chest region including the abdomen from right to left as shown.
Massage in a circular motion around the chest and abdomen including the thighs and legs.
Massage the area under the arms, first the right one.
Now do it on the other side including the hands.
Massage the hands including the area between the fingers and the palm.
Lastly, massage the sole of the feet. Make sure you massage the toes as well.
