Mother And Baby

When you have to handle a new born, you need to be careful that a watch or bangle which you always wore could be dangerous for your baby leading to a cut or a scratch on your little one's delicate skin. So for the safety of your child it is better that you stop over accessorising yourself. Here are few of the accessories you should avoid wearing while handling your newborn.

Bangles

Bangles: If you are wearing glass bangles, take them off right away. If they break while your baby is in your arms, you can imagine how it can hurt. Glass bangles are also noisy and as babies sleep throughout the day, it is a distraction you can avoid.

Nail Polish

Nail polish: You might think this is harmless, but know that they are loaded with chemicals and if you have started weaning your baby, this would mean feeding small amounts of chemicals along with food.

Bindis: Okay, you might think that wearing bindis won't harm your baby as there are no chances of cuts and scratches, but as your child starts to explore his environment she might just pluck that bindi from your forehead and put it in her mouth, which can lead to a chocking accident. No, you cannot be careful with bindis as your kid will pick it up sneakily without your knowledge. Trust me; I have experienced this with both my kids. Also Read - Nipah Virus Outbreak 2026 LIVE Updates: Will there be another lockdown? Earrings

Earring: Love wearing ear drops, remove them if you know they can be easily pulled out. Like your bindis your child will love to play with the bright coloured earring that you wear and pull them out just when you are paying attention to something else. And do we need to tell you that they think every other thing is edible.
