Don’t Skip Meals

Calories are a unit of measurement for energy in food. Your body needs a steady supply of energy in the form of meals. Your blood sugar levels can decline if you haven't eaten in a long time. Your body responds by releasing hormones that tell your brain you are hungry. These same hormones may raise your blood pressure and constrict your blood vessels, resulting in a headache. Include More Protein

Did you know that lack of protein can trigger headaches? In fact, studies have shown that protein is essential for brain function and brain energy. A diet low in protein can trigger headaches. Some foods rich in protein include eggs, nuts, chicken breast, cottage cheese, Greek yoghurt, milk, lentils, fish, quinoa, pumpkin seeds, etc. Also, including protein in meals and snacks, even in small amounts, is one method to assist maintain blood sugar levels - another reason for headaches.

Avoid Drinking Coffee On An Empty Stomach

Are you someone who wakes up to a cup of hot coffee in the morning? Caffeine-induced headaches are rumoured to cause a wide range of symptoms. There's the coffee headache from too much coffee, the coffee headache from too little coffee, and the coffee headache from too late at night. Caffeine affects everyone differently, but because it is a central nervous stimulant, it can give people a headache if you drink it on an empty stomach. Caffeine can amplify the effects of low blood sugar caused by not eating, making you feel worse and perhaps giving you a pounding headache. Avoid Removing All Carbohydrates
