It encourages patients to indulge in foods like fruits, fish, low-fat and fat-free dairy, whole grains, vegetables, legumes, and vegetable oils.

Do not skip your exercise. One of the best ways to manage high blood pressure or hypertension is to keep yourself active throughout the day. The new guideline laid out by the American Heart Association (AHA) also recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate to intensity activity per week. It may sound like a lot to achieve in a single day, but some people break it down and walk or run for at least 30 minutes daily.
