Deep Breathing

Deep breathing is a very effective stress reduction technique. Follow these steps for best results: First sit down in a comfortable position; you can also lie down on the bed for more relaxation. Next, close your eyes and try to concentrate on one thought only. The easiest way to focus on one thought is by concentrating on your breath. Take deep breaths through your nose. Inhale for four counts, hold your breath for four counts and exhale through your mouth for four counts. Repeat this as many times as you need.
