What Is High Blood Pressure?
High Blood Pressure, (high BP) is a condition marked by the excessive pressure of the blood flow inside the arteries, against the walls. In simpler terms, blood pressure is the force at which blood pumps from the heart into the arteries. The ideal blood pressure reading should be less than 120/80 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). A slight change in this number can say that there is a significant rise in the blood pressure of the body and that immediate attention is needed to bring it back under control.
