The more hydrogen peroxide is used to lighten the hair colour the more damage it causes to the hair. Try to choose a hair colour within 3 shades closer to your natural shade to minimize damage.

Do A Patch Test Prior

If you are using store-bought hair dyes, make sure to do a patch test on a small portion before applying it all over. If you get a reaction, do not use the dye, and visit your dermatologist.

Avoid hair dyes containing PPD as it is one of the comment ingredients that can cause allergies. PPD (paraphenylenediamine) is a chemical compound that is commonly used in permanent hair dyes.
