Gastroenteritis can start off with mild symptoms or with severe symptoms. If the symptoms are mild at first, it means that it is treatable. But, do not ignore the treatments available because if symptoms go on for too long, it can cause severe dehydration which is the main source of other health problems like organ failure, kidney stones, vertigo, low blood pressure, etc.

Very less to no urination is also a very dangerous sign of severe dehydration. This can happen when a person is constantly vomiting or suffering from watery stool.
When gastroenteritis cases are not treated properly, it can turn severe. Severe cases can cause severe dehydration in the body leading to an electrolyte imbalance. This can also lead to kidney failure or kidney stones.
Constant diarhhoea and vomiting means that your body is losing all the essential electrolytes. This can lower your blood pressure drastically and lead to vertigo and a patient may also faint. This is also one serious symptom that should be noted.
