Diabetes

People who consume fizzy drinks over plain water have a higher risk of developing diabetes, due to the excess amount of sugar present in soda.

The chemicals such as carbonic acid, phosphoric acid and citric acid can cause dental erosion and tooth decay. Excess of phosphoric acid in soda interferes with the body’s ability to process calcium, an important mineral for bone development and health, increasing your risk of osteoporosis.

MYTH 2: EXCESS ACID PRODUCTION CAUSES GERD

Another old misconception. The problem in GERD is more than just the amount of acid. The amount of acid produced in a GERD sufferer's stomach is usually average, but the problem is the acid being in the wrong location.
