Never cut the fruits: Do you pack your box with cut fruits to munch in the evening? If yes, then stop doing it, as keeping cut fruits for long time not only lowers the nutritive value (due to oxidation of vitamin C and B complex vitamins) but also increases the chances of contamination.
Eat fruits 30 minutes after dinner: If you want to eat fruits, then eat at least 2 hours before having meals or around 30 minutes after meals. This will ensure that the digestion process is not affected and also the absorption of nutrients from food is taken care of.
Do not eat fruits with meals: This is because; eating fruits with other foods delays the digestion process, which causes the food to ferment in the gut. Also, fruits are digested quickly as compared to foods that you eat, thereby leading to digestive troubles.
Do not eat certain fruits late at night: Hunger pangs late at night? Eating fruits is the last healthy resort we all know. But having watermelon, oranges or cherries late at night is not the right thing as it can cause acidity or gas problems, says Deepshika Agarwal.
