If you google ‘King of Bollywood,’ the first result is Shah Rukh Khan. At 49, SRK is still one of the biggest stars in Bollywood. Here are a few of his fitness secrets.
SRK runs a lot: ‘He (SRK) can run continuously at 15 kilometres an hour on the treadmill,’ Shah Rukh’s trainer Prashant Sawant told TOI. That speaks volumes about his endurance.
SRK loves eating chicken: If you love eating chicken, then know that you have company in Shah Rukh Khan. ‘He simply loves his chicken in any form and his rotis. It is mostly home-cooked food for him. When it is rice, it has to be biriyani. However, he also gulps down a lot of coffee,’ his trainer Prashant Sawant told TOI.
SRK pulls off the toughest exercises: ‘I give him some of an impossible stretching and weight combinations that require great stamina and resilience. That is how I built his six pack abs,’ Sawant told TOI.
SRK works a lot on his balance and enjoys hurdles: SRK can easily jump hurdles as high as four-and-a-half feet. He can do perfect cartwheels even at this age which reveals how fit he is.
SRK thinks positive: Along with his fitness and diet, SRK has also been able to become the master of his mind. ‘He is a man who thinks positive and believes in doing things his own way, which keeps him happy’, oncologist Gautam Mukhopadhyay told TOI.
