We try to add super fruits or vegetables to our plate. But did you know about super seeds? Some seeds are rich in nutritional value and can do wonders for your health. Nutritionist Karishma Chawla of Eat Rite 24x7 shares with us the list of super seeds you must eat often!
Watermelon seeds-- They contain omega-6 fatty acids. They are also a good source of B-complex vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, iron, potassium and copper!
Pumpkin seeds-- They contain MUFA and omega-6 fats. They are also a rich in Vitamin E, B complex vitamins and minerals such as manganese, copper, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc and selenium.
Sunflower seeds-- Sunflower seeds contain omega-6 fats and are a rich source of Vitamin E, B complex. They also contain minerals like calcium, iron, manganese, zinc and amino acid tryptophan.
Chia seeds: Chia seeds are an excellent source of omega-3 fats along with minerals such as iron and calcium.
Flaxseeds-- Flaxseeds are very rich in omega-3 fats. They contain fibre, vitamin B1 and minerals like copper, magnesium and selenium.
Papaya seeds-- These seeds are an excellent source of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. They have strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects on the digestive system too.
