Endurance Building Exercises

Building endurance is not a one day task. You need to follow a strict workout and a diet regimen as your body takes time to develop neuro-muscular co-ordination and strength. Here are some exercises you can do to build your endurance, recommended by Abhishek Chatterjee, Assistant Fitness Manager, Fitness First India. Follow these exercises three times and perform each movement for 45 to 60 seconds. The time duration can vary depending on the nature of activity and person to person.

Wood Chops

Wood Chops: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the weight or a medicine ball in front of you. Lift the weight above your right shoulder while twisting your torso. Now squat and bring the ball down to your left ankle. Repeat on the other side.

Mountain Climber: To get into this position, get into the plank position where your chest is straight over your hands. Now, lift your right leg off the floor and bring your knee as close to your chest as you can. Return to the starting position and repeat with your left leg.
