Maple syrup dip - Heat 1 cup maple syrup on a low flame until it starts to simmer. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. Take it off the heat and put it in a heat proof jar. Add 1 cinnamon stick and 2 pieces of star anise. Let the spices steep for 15 minutes. Sieve the spices out and your spiced maple syrup is ready. Sour cream dip - In a bowl, put 45 ml of maple syrup and add 180 ml sour cream to it. Stir until you have obtained a smooth mixture. Sprinkle cinnamon powder and refrigerate until serving time. Try it with fresh fruits like apples, pears, pineapple, peaches, strawberries, oranges or with cookies and cake.

Parsley dip - In a bowl, combine 250 ml mayonnaise with 125 ml thick natural yoghurt. Add to it, 60 ml maple syrup, 2 tbsp Dijon mustard, 2 tbsp chopped parsley, 3 tbsp chopped fresh chives, 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil, 3 crushed garlic cloves, salt and pepper to taste. Let rest for 30 minutes to allow the flavours to blend prior to serving.
