Every year during Ramadan, my worry is not what to make for iftaar for the whole family, but what to make for sehri. None of us are hungry or in a mood to eat in the morning, but have to to prepare for the day's fasting. So here are some quick and healthy sehri ideas that are my personal favourites.

What I usually do is mix in the ingredients for a smoothie in a jar and refrigerate it. In the morning, all I do is blitz it in the blender and my filling smoothie is ready.

My mom swears by eating puffed rice for sehri. Known for aiding digestion, this fibre-rich food helps you stay full for a long time. The light taste and texture makes it an ideal food to eat in the morning.
