Fasting for 12 hours and more takes a toll on your body. Going without water for the whole day, makes you extremely thirsty by the time for iftaar. When it is finally time to eat, all you want is to drink something refreshing and hydrating. So here are some hydrating juices that you will love.

Lemon-mint mojito: This classic cooler recipe is a perfect iftaar drink. Blitz together ice cubes, chilled water, a little honey and a good handful of mint leaves. Squeeze some lemon and serve garnished with mint leaves.

Lemon water with sweet basil seeds (sabja): Give a twist to the regular lemon water, and make it even more cooling and hydrating, by adding a few spoons of sweet basil seeds.

My family's favorite drink is what we call the 'jaggery sherbat'. Put in chunks of jaggery in some water in the morning, so that it melts by evening.
