Flu Strains

Getting the seasonal flu vaccine, which can shield you from acquiring the most common influenza strains, is one approach to achieving this goal. However, it doesn't protect you from other flu strains but lowers your risk of getting sick.

Eggs

Try and avoid eggs when you are suffering from diarrhoea. The stomach cannot produce enough enzymes to break down the proteins in eggs when you are suffering from the infection. This can aggravate the condition and lead to other symptoms like nausea and bloating.

Nuts

Nuts are rich in arginine that can raise your temperature when you are suffering from fever. Therefore avoid foods rich in arginine like almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts and flaxseeds, when you are sick.

Foods High In Enzymes

Some foods like cabbage, peas and broccoli that are high in enzymes can lead to the formation of excessive gas in your system. You should avoid these foods when you are suffering from diarrhoea.  Also Read - Calcium Deficiency: 5 Things That Could Cause It

Junk-foods

Do not eat junk foods when you are suffering from digestive problems as the saturated fats present in them can irritate your digestive tract.

Meat

The fats present in meat hinder your body’s ability to kill germs causing you to experience symptoms of diseases like fever and flu for a longer time. Replace meat with green leafy vegetables that can provide you with the antioxidants to kill germs. Also Read - Iron Deficiency And Mental Health: Is There A Link?
