Close grip barbell bench press: Lie on the bench and grasp the barbell with an overhand grip. Take the barbell off the rack and hold it over you with your arms. Slowly lower it down to your middle chest, without touching the chest. Contract the triceps and push the barbell back up. Breathe in between each rep.
The cable pushdown is yet another exercise that is great for triceps. Attach an angled or straight bar to a pulley, grasp it standing straight. Use your triceps to bring the bar down making sure that it touches the front of your thighs. Then slowly, bring the bar up slowly. While you can do this exercise with a rope or a bar, Kaizzad highly recommends that you use the bar instead of the rope.
Stand between a set of parallel bars, hold either sides of the bar and lift yourself off the ground to get in position. Lock your legs, flex your elbow and lower yourself till your arms are at the 90 degrees angle. Push yourself back up and down till you are satisfied with the number of reps you have done.
The bench dip is just like the parallel bar dip. Except, of course, you do it on the floor with the support of a bench and not on a parallel bar. The movement, however, remains the same. Place a strong bench behind your back and hold onto it with hands separated at shoulder width. Keep your legs straight ahead and lower your body to the floor. Using your triceps, you bring your body back up.
