Amongst the countless studying hours, sleepless nights, repetitive revisions, sample papers, it is only natural to feel the pressure of exams is getting to you. You might fear of not being able to perform well in your exams, suffer from exam anxiety and restlessness. Do not fret, you are not crazy, it is just the exam stress. Having said that, it is important to not overwork your mind for it can hamper your productivity in these crucial times. To ace your exams do not just study well but also focus on beating the stress by following good eating habits, sleep patterns, mental and physical exercise. Here are some quick tips that can come in handy when beating the exam stress.

Eat-healthy

Eat right: During your exams consuming a well-balanced diet is of the essence. Avoid foods such as junk that induce lethargy. Instead have fresh fruits and vegetables that build on your energy reserves and concentration levels. Spicy and salty foods prior to your exams can result in sluggishness during your exams. Practice Deep Breathing Exercises

Third, practice deep breathing exercises for five minutes each day. This simple meditation technique can reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and increase mental clarity during meditation.

Eye Care

Eye care: Long hours of reading, staring at your laptop screens increases the strain on your eyes leaving them exhausted. Sit in a room which has good amount of light. Inadequate light can increase he strain on your eyes. Maintain a correct posture while studying, do not lean on the table or study in a sleeping position, it just strains your eyes further. Remember to give your eyes rest by taking time off in between your study hours. Sleep

Sleep is important. Sleeping during exams may make you feel guilty. But compromising on your sleep can considerably affect your ability to learn, retain information and may cause retrieval issues just when you sit down to right your crucial exam. Ensure you sleep 6-7 hours. Avoid studying all night a night before your exam for it can cause difficulty in concentrating and fatigue.
