Aqua Yoga – In Aqua Yoga, asanas are performed in the water. Aqua yoga is helpful for people with injuries as it reduces the gravitational pull causing less stress on your body. Your body has to work more on the balance because of the constant motion of water, with less pain. Aqua Yoga is a great workout for people with injuries or limitations. It is a great place for trying tough poses as there are less chance of you hurting yourself from a fall.
Aqua Aerobics – Aqua aerobics is safer than regular aerobics because it has less impact on the joints. this is especially good for older people with joint pain.
Aqua Tabata: It is a very high intensity workout format with 8 exercises performed back to back with 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest. Performing the same format in the water is ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels because it’s easy on the joints. The movements can be done with weights and other props to enhance difficulty.
Aqua Zumba – Aqua Zumba is a low impact but high intensity water workout. With water becoming a resistance, every step becomes more challenging helping you burn a lot of calories while working on strengthening your muscles. Plus, it makes it a great pool party!
