Along with good sleep and right diet, exercise is one of the foundations of healthy well-being. Here are some things that happen to your body when you exercise.
When you exercise, your heart rate increases heavily in order to help you circulate more oxygen. However, if you exercise regularly, your muscles will adapt to the pace and you will have to work out more intensely in order to feel exhausted.
During exercise, your brain releases endorphins which make you feel good. This explains why some people are addicted to running and staying fit.
Your body uses up glucose to provide the energy required for the movements you make while exercising.
When you exercise after a long time, your muscles are actually damaged, which is why you experience pain. However, that is not a bad thing, as the body repairs the damaged muscles by forming even stronger muscles.
Exercising produces heat in your body and in order to balance the heat, it produces sweat. Lots of water is taken out of your body, which is why you should stay hydrated.
Some people have a red face after a workout, as the capillaries are extremely near to the skin of their faces. So, if your face gets flushed after a workout, there's nothing to worry.
Exercise will send more oxygen to the brain, which will help the hippocampus (the part of brain associated with learning and memory) create new cells.
