Rubbing Eyes

Rubbing your eyes can cause its tiny blood vessels to break, leading to dark circles, irritation and puffiness. Instead of using your fingers, gently pat the area with a clean cloth or a cotton ball.

Staring At Screens For Long

Prolonged screen time can cause eye strain, dryness and fatigue, and also cause puffiness. Follow the 20-20-20 rule to prevent extended periods of screen watching. Every 20 minutes, look away from your screen and focus on something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

Not Protecting Eyes From Sun

The sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause severe eye strain, dryness, and damage, and lead to puffiness and tired-looking eyes. When you step out, wear sunglasses with UV protection, even on a cloudy day. Do not forget to wear a hat, either, especially one with a wide brim for added protection on particularly-hot days.
