Grapes: Grapes and grapes juice are an excellent source of resveratrol, a phytochemical which slows the growth of cancer cells and stops formation of tumours in lymph nodes, liver, stomach and breast cells. It is also known to trigger the death of leukemia tumours and colon cancer tumours and stop the development of skin and breast cancers. Apples: Apple peels contain antioxidants and antiproliferative effects on human cancer cells and have shown to be effective in laboratory studies. They work best against estrogen receptor-negative breast cancer, which is much harder to treat than estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer.

Leafy green and cruciferous vegetables: Leafy green vegetables and cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower are known for their iron content and ability to prevent anaemia. But they are also helpful in preventing cancer! They contain an antioxidant called sulforaphane that not only prevents but also fights colon and prostate cancers. It is important to note that these vegetables must not be overcooked.

Green-tea

Green and black tea: Green and black tea both have an antioxidant, kaempferol which has been proved to be effective against breast cancer. Avoid drinking bottled teas like iced teas and brew your own.
