Your liver is a persevering organ, working hard to convert nutrients from the diet and supply them to cells. But sometimes due to toxicity or infection, it fails to metabolise bilirubin properly, which can enter the blood stream, giving the skin and the sclera a yellow tinge. This condition is known as jaundice. To make a full recovery, it is important that you eat the right diet to take the load off from your liver. Dr Surya Bhagwati from Dr Vaidya's New Age Ayurveda recommends some liver-friendly food you should have during jaundice.
