Epilepsy

You can save a life by knowing the first-aid measures to administer on a person having an epileptic attack. Here are the steps.

3/12

Loosen Clothing

Secondly, loosen the collar or any scarf or clothing around the neck to ensure that the person can breathe properly.

5/12

Move Objects

As the person might be unconscious during an epileptic attack, remove sharp objects like glasses or even furniture from the vicinity to protect the person from injury.

7/12

Lie On Back

Ensure that the person is not lying on the stomach but on the back to avoid suffocation.

9/12

Call Doctor

If the seizure lasts for more than three minutes or if the person experiences a second attack just after the first one, you should call a doctor or seek medical help immediately.

11/12

Speak Calmly

Also, speak calmly to the person and make sure they are comfortable as they might be a little confused and disoriented after the attack.
