The concern about pollution and its ill effects is rising and almost everybody is taking stock of their carbon footprint. However, more than taking big, drastic steps towards creating a better environment, we need to take stock of the everyday pollution we set in motion. If you are a woman, here are some ways in which you pollute the environment.

Razor: This beauty tool can carry warts or genital herpes — if you or your friend has either. Sharing this product can also make you more vulnerable to a staph infection, hepatitis, or blood-borne viruses.

We all use Q-tips to fix our kajal, or correct clumpy mascara. Q tips even come handy to fix a stray eyebrow hair. The problem with q-tips is the plastic stick holding the cotton. Next time you pick up and dispose a q-tip, think of the plastic that you are putting out in the environment. Makeup wipes are much better and quicker than washing your face over and over again with water and facewash to clean your face. But these wipes are also disposable, and not eco-friendly. You can instead use a wet washcloth to wipe your makeup.
