Use gentle, non soapy shower gels instead of soaps in order to maintain the skin's pH.
Use cold or lukewarm water. Hot water will rip the moisture from your skin making it more dry.
Avoid scrubs and loofahs to prevent damage to the protective lipid barrier layer of skin.
Use an in shower moisturiser after a shower or add a cap full of coconut oil to your last mug of water.
Apply a thick moisturiser with squalene and urea on all the affected areas. Use a regular moisturising lotion on the rest of the body. Do this at least thrice a day.
Eat flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, salmon, mackerels, walnuts, almonds to build moisture in your skin.
Avoid alcohol, aerated drinks and nicotine to prevent dehydration and aggravation of psoriasis.
Avoid wearing synthetic and tight clothes which will cause friction and aggravate your skin condition.
