Sores: If you are always stressed out there are good chances that you will see cold sores popping up on your lips. If you are always exhausted or are working too much, cold sores can certainly crop up. A sore anywhere on your lips can also indicate oral cancer. Cracks on corners of the mouth: If you are drooling, painful cracks may develop on the corners of your lips. If you wear dentures or just drop saliva uncontrollably from your mouth, moisture can collect in the corners of your mouth leading to a yeast infection. The yeast that grows can show up as a cut.
