Planning to go to the bank to exchange your 500 and 1000 rupees notes? It is a jungle out there, with queues that are anywhere between 50 to literally infinity. Do not step out unless you arm yourself with the essentials. Here goes.

Hydration is the key. You don't know how many hours you will need to stand in the queue to make it inside the bank. Carry at least 1 big or 2 small water bottles.

Sneaky mosquitos will make standing in the queue very difficult. Carry a good, heavy duty mosquito repellent to take care of the pesky bugs.

Standing in a long, winding queue can get boring. Put that time to some use by reading a book. Carry a good book, or maybe puzzles and crossword to do while you wait.

Why stand under the blazing sun when you can carry an umbrella and save yourself from a heatstroke. You might make a new friend by offering to share your umbrella.
