भोजन नली कैंसर का पता अक्सर देर से चलता है।
Heaviness in the chest: The cancerous cells multiply in the food pipe to form a lump, which can block the passage of food. As food gets stuck in the food pipe, you might experience pressure or heaviness in the chest region.
Difficulty or pain while swallowing: It is one of the most common symptoms of esophageal cancer. You might experience pain in the form of a burning sensation while swallowing food or might feel food sticking to the throat or chest, causing difficulty in swallowing it.
Vomiting/coughing up blood: Due to the blockage of the food pipe by the cancerous cells, you might experience nausea, which can also cause vomiting. In some cases, you might even cough up blood.
Indigestion/heartburn: If you have been experiencing indigestion or heartburn for more than two weeks than it is wise to consult a doctor as it might indicate esophagal cancer. It is due to the regurgitation of saliva or food.
Weight loss: As there is a loss of appetite due to indigestion and pain/difficulty in swallowing, people suffering from this type of cancer experience a drastic weight loss. Hence, one should not ignore a sudden loss in weight as it might indicate cancer.
