Dr Sanjeev Mehta, Chest and Allergy Specialist, Mumbai says that all food allergies, like peanuts, walnuts, milk and other dairy products, eggs, seafood like crustaceans, show similar symptoms because the body reacts to the same chemical, histamine, present in these foods. Skin Rashes

Skin rashes-- One of the most common symptoms of food allergies is a skin rash which is usually accompanied by itching and redness. The skin rash can spread in the form of dots or big blotches all over the body or maybe restricted to one area. Many times people experience itching without any redness or rash. Stomach Problems

Stomach problems--Many food allergies like allergies to besan (gram flour), dairy products manifest themselves with bloating, indigestion and loose motions. Vomiting is also a common symptom of food allergies. One of the best ways to deal with such symptoms is flushing out the food from the stomach.

Nasal symptoms- Nose irritation, runny nose and sneezing could also be signs of food allergies.
