Viral-infections

Infections: One of the causes why you are failing to fight cold, is the weak immune system. Also, if your immunity is low, it puts you at risk of infections. Hence, if you ignore chronic cold, you might suffer from infections due to compromised immunity.

Meningitis

Meningitis: If cold is caused by bacteria, then the microbes might spread from the respiratory tract to the brain, affecting the brain membrane. Hence, in the case of chronic cold, consult your doctor to know the cause before the bacteria spreads or affect others.

Respiratory-infection

Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTIs): Interstitial lung disease is particularly a cause for concern if you get cold again and again or have been suffering from cold. In such a case, the only way to deal with it is to get treated at the earliest.
