Can I keep taking homeopathic medicines even after I am cured? No! Just because homeopathy does not have serious side effects like allopathy, it doesn’t mean you can take it forever. No medication should be taken unnecessarily once the problem is resolved.

Is it wrong to touch the medicines directly? No. As long as your hands are clean, you can touch the medicines.

Can I take pills immediately after eating? No. Homeopathic medicines are made in an extremely diluted form. Any strong smell can nullify the potency of the medicines. So it is advisable that you take a half-an-hour break from eating before and after taking the medicines to avoid any strong odours from food.

Should I avoid coffee? Yes. Coffee tends antidote the effects of homeopathic medicines. So during your treatment, it is best if you stop drinking coffee.

Will I overdose if I take an extra pill? No. Homeopathy is a qualitative medicine, not quantitative. One pill or ten pills, the medicine will have the same effect. We standardise the dosage to three or four pills so that you feel something on the tongue. Sometimes, patients are not convinced when they are just given one pill.

Should I keep the medicines in the dark? You can keep it anywhere you please as long as it is away from strong smells and perfumes. There is no need to store it in the fridge like you would other medicines.

Should I follow diet and exercise with homeopathy? Yes. For overall convalescence, diet and exercise is a must. With any disease, it is a three-pronged action which includes diet, exercise and medicine.
