Not just foods that you eat, even how you eat, what you eat and what you do can lead to bloating. Simple things like using eating too fast or using a straw to drink can cause bloating, says Mrs Suvarna Sawant, Chief Dietician at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai. Here are some common habits that can cause bloating.

Big Bites

Have big bites: Not just eating too fast, even having big bites can hamper your digestion and lead to excessive gas production causing bloating. Hence, chew your food properly to prevent it.

Fibre-foods

Do not load up fibre in your diet at once: A fibre rich diet, ensures keeping your weight in control, but if not balanced with good water intake, will cause bloating. To avoid this, increase fibre intake in your diet slowly.
