Oranges, guavas and limes: What's more healthy than eating foods rich in vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant, which helps in fighting infections? So stock your fridge with fresh fruits (rich in vitamin C). But ensure you wash them properly.
Chicken soup: If you have a sore throat and fever, consume a bowl of hot chicken soup. While proteins present in chicken boost your immunity, the spices in the soup help in relieving your symptoms.
Curd/buttermilk: Try to include curd or buttermilk in your diet as it contains good bacteria (probiotics) that helps in digestion. Also, it helps in lowering the heat in your body.
Ginger and garlic: These spices are anti-inflammatory, which in turn help you recover quickly.
Turmeric milk: Have you ever tried turmeric milk to deal with symptoms of the flu? It is a common home remedy for cough and other symptoms.
Spinach: Not many people like to eat leafy vegetables. But fresh vegetables like tomatoes and spinach that are rich in antioxidants help you to deal with viral fever.
