So make sure you place your computer screen 15 to 20 inches away from your eyes, says Dr Ashvin Bafna, Specialist in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Lasers. Also, give some rest to your eyes every 20 minutes and look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

Wear A Sunglass

Wear a sunglass: Just as you shield your skin, you need to protect your eyes from the UV rays of the sun. Prolonged exposure to UV rays is related to age-related macular degeneration and damage to the retina. So, always wear a sunglass when you step out in the sun. Use sunglasses with 99 percent UV protection, suggests Dr Sanjay Dhawan, director, ophthalmology at Fortis Healthcare.
