Menstruation: Yes, monthly periods can also cause anaemia due to blood loss. The risk is even higher if you suffer from an infection as it can further make you more susceptible to complications. Childbirth

Childbirth: Not just pregnancy, even childbirth can cause anaemia. During delivery, there is a lot of blood loss that in some cases might lead to anaemia. However, do not be worried and talk to your gynaecologist about the same.

Haemorrhoids: Not many people know that haemorrhoids or piles can also cause blood loss and put you at risk of anaemia. Hence, if you are experiencing any symptoms of anaemia along with haemorrhoids, visit your doctor.
