Alan Rickman Alan Rickman, popularly known as Professor Snape of the Harry Potter franchise and Hans Gruber of Die Hard, passed away on January 14th, 2016 at the age of 69. The actor was battling cancer for quite some time.
Music composer, Aadesh Shrivastava, was diagnosed with cancer in 2011 and fought cancer for 5 years. His cancer relapsed three times after which his condition became critical. The actor breathed his last on September 5, 2015.
Asha Bhosle's son, Hemant Bhosle, who is a music composer, was suffering from cancer for many years. The musician lost his battle against cancer on September 28th, 2015 in Scotland, where he has been residing for the past couple of years.
Legendary singer David Bowie died of cancer on January 11th, 2016 at the age of 69. The singer had been battling cancer for the last 18 months.
Veteran Bollywood actress Sadhana, who was taken care of by her foster daughter, also breathed her last on December 25th, 2015. She had been fighting cancer for a very long time and died at the age of 74.
