Drinks For Acidity

Popping an antacid every time you have acidity is not a good idea. These antacids though are effective but can have side-effects if used for a prolonged period of time. That is why opting for a natural remedy to combat acidity becomes necessary. While it might be a little uncomfortable to eat any kind of food when you are experiencing acidity but sipping on some beverages that can neutralise the acid seems like a good idea. Herbal Teas

Herbal tea: Teas like chamomile, liquorice, slippery elm help to improve digestion, reduce acid reflux and curb symptoms like nausea and heartburn. These soothing teas relax the inner lining of the stomach to give relief from acidity. However, avoid spearmint or peppermint tea as it can aggravate reflux.

Skim Milk

Skim milk: Cold milk is thought to be an excellent antacid but the fat in the milk can aggravate symptoms of acidity. Whole milk isn’t a good choice to treat acidity as the fat aggravates the stomach lining and makes symptoms worse. But cold skim milk can be a good natural remedy to treat acidity.
