The initial signs and symptoms may be mild but as the disease progresses, children may be unable to do daily, simple activities by themselves like eating, bathing, dressing or grooming. They might require constant assistance at this point.
Behavioral changes like mood swings, aggression and irritability may be few signs of dementia. These behaviours are unusual for their age, so, if your child is portraying such behaviours, consult a doctor.
