A Lump Or Thickening In The Chest Area

The symptom that is the most widespread among the men is breast cancer as a painful lump or thickening of the chest region. It may be right below the nipple or within any of the breast tissue. These lumps are unlike muscle knots, and they do not move easily; rather, they feel like lumps or are hard. Seeing a swelling or a lump that either does not go away or only gets larger, you should have the doctor check you out. This can be identified by early imaging and biopsy that would reveal whether it is cancerous.

Changes In The Nipple Or Skin Texture

The skin may puck up and get dimpled, scaly or reddened, like an orange peel. There are rare cases when the nipple leans leftwards or retracts inappropriately. These are usually symptoms of some of the cancerous cells touching the underlying breast tissue or ducts. These are the mild symptoms, yet they are very critical warning signs of great importance that should be improved at once as an issue of concern in healthcare institutions.  Also Read - Ignoring Unusual Nipple Discharge? Persistent Pain Or Sensitivity Around The Chest

Although the majority of male breast cancers lack clinical signs other than the presence of painless lumps, other individuals can complain of discomfort, tenderness, or pain in the chest. Exercise, muscle strain or persistent pain that is not associated with injury may be worth looking into. A single pain in the breast is never a guarantee of cancer, but other signs when combined with the pain might give a more definitive diagnosis.

Nipple Discharge, Especially If Bloody

Any flow out of the nipple, especially when it is bloody or clear and without squeezing it may be a cause of alarm. Although one can be infected or hormonally unbalanced to discharge, in men it is not very common and should not be ruled out. The presence of nipple discharge might signify the existence of cancer cells in ducts. It is important in such situations to have an adequate assessment of the case and diagnostic tests by consulting a healthcare provider.  Also Read - Male Breast Cancer: Bloody Discharge From Nipple And Other Unusual Symptoms You Should Never Ignore

Swelling Or Lumps In The Underarm Area

Breast cancer is cancer that can be diffused into the lymph nodes that are found in the armpits. When there is any swelling, tenderness, or lumps of any form under the armpit or close to the collarbone, perhaps this indicates that the cancer cells have matted out of the breast meat. This is a significant early warning sign because often, these lymph nodes enlarge at some time before any of the other changes on the breast can be observed.
