A brain Aneurysm is a chronic condition in the brain which leads to bulging or ballooning in the blood vessel inside the organ. It often looks kike a hanging berry on a stem. When left untreated, a brain aneurysm can leak or rupture, leading to bleeding inside the brain and often causing a hemorrhagic stroke.

A ruptured aneurysm can become life-threatening if proper care is not taken in time. It requires prompt medical treatment. Most brain aneurysms, however, don't rupture, create health problems or cause symptoms. According to experts, ruptured brain aneurysms are only detected during tests for other conditions or for the brain.

On the other hand, those which doesn't fall under the ruptured category are what is known as an unruptured brain aneurysm. Experts say that the treatment options for an unruptured brain aneurysm may be appropriate in only a selected few cases and may prevent a rupture in the future.

Some of the warning signs and symptoms of a brain aneurysm include - nausea and vomiting, stiff neck, a drooping eyelid, loss of consciousness, confusion or brain fog, loss or blurry vision, extremely severe headache, numbness of one side of the face, a dilated pupil.
