Birth control pills do a lot more than just impact women’s chances of getting pregnant or not. Ideally, women take them to prevent unplanned pregnancies. Some women also require them as per their doctors advice, to regulate their hormones, there cycle, reduce menstrual cramps and also maintain skin acnes and pimples.

Libido Can Be Very Low Or Very High

The libido level is also dependent a lot on these pills as their main function is to regulate hormones. For some women, the libido may go up while for others, it may go down.

Birth control pills help keep the skin free from acnes and pimples. How? Pills affect the hormone levels. It leads to a dip in the testosterone levels in particular and thereby causing fewer breakouts on the skin. There lies the problem when a woman stops taking those pills. PMS-ing is very common among women especially when their hormones have gone haywire. These pills help prevent that but when it stops, they will go back to its natural tendencies.
