Maintaining a consistent bedtime routine can be an effective strategy for achieving weight loss objectives. Although, at the same time, sleep deprivation is just one of many factors that can lead to obesity, lack of sleep has been shown to boost appetite, especially for high-fat and high-sugar foods. In this regard, Fitness expert Aminder Singh and founder of Team Aminder shares tips on effectively designing a before-bedtime routine that can go a long way in promoting weight loss:

Avoid Eating Before Sleeping

Dining immediately can disrupt sleep and slow metabolism. Try to consume your last meal at least 2-3 hours before bedtime. Also, don’t miss adding carbs to dinner like chapatis, rice or potato for effective and sustainable weight loss.

Enhance Sleep Hormone Release

Avoid Caffeine

Caffeine can disturb sleep and lead to feelings of lethargy. Restrict or avoid caffeine intake altogether.

Take A Hot Shower And Perform Breathing Exercises
