Are you all over the place with your skincare routine? Your skin demands care during the day as well as at the end of a hectic one. We lay out 10 such steps that can make your skincare routine easier for you.
Step #1 - Follow the cleanser-toner-moisturiser rule before you begin your day. However, cosmetic dermatologist, Dr Jaishree Sharad in her book ‘Skin Talks’ suggests that only those with oily skin should use a skin toner.
Step #2 - Once you are done with cleansing and moisturising your face, don’t forget to apply a sunscreen. This is crucial to protect your skin from sun damage. If you apply make-up, then use a moisturiser with a sunscreen.
Step #3 - Don’t miss out on moisturising your neck, arms and legs before you head out.
Step #4 - A skin essential like a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 is required especially for areas that are likely to be exposed to the sun.
Step #5 - Once you are back in the evening, don’t be lazy to remove your make-up! Instead of using an oil-based remover use some coconut oil.
Step #6 - Wash your face with your preferred cleanser and some lukewarm water.
Step #7 - If you have been prescribed a vitamin or anti-ageing serum, apply it once you have washed your face.
Step #8 - After the deep cleansing, your skin needs its share of moisturising during the night hours as well. You can use a night cream with skin repair properties.
Step #9 - Use a soothing moisturising body lotion before you hit the sack. Massage your knees, elbows, arms and legs.
One common cause of pneumonia is being wet for a prolonged period. Try and restrict getting wet; if you get wet, ensure you dry your feet and palm immediately. Keep a change in your workplace, so you don’t sit through the day in wet clothes.
