Eye Shape

The shape of your eyes is a deciding factor for your eye make-up. But have you closely observed what your eye shape is? Round or upturned; Almond or hooded? Solve your confusion with these pointers to identify your eye shape. And then you can try different make up styles to suit your eye shape.

Almond Eyes

Almond shaped: If the white area of your eyes is not visible near the upper and lower lids, it means you have almond shaped eyes. The aim in this case is to increase depth and intensity. You can achieve this by using dark shades on lash lines and matte shades on the brow line.

Upturned Eyes

Upturned eyes: Imagine drawing a straight line across the centre of your eye outwards. If the outward corner of your eye is above this line, you have upturned eyes. Balance the shape by using a light shade up to the brow bone. Use a dark shimmery shade on the lid and line your upper and lower lash line extending it outwards and upwards to make the most of your eye shape. Also Read - A Doctor Explains: How Does The Skin Benefit From Using Retinol?

Downturned Eyes

Downturned eyes: If the outward corner of your eye is below the imaginary central line that passes through your eye, you have downturned eyes. Since your outer edge is drooping, create an effect to life them with an eyeliner. Use a darker shade only on the outer edge of the lid and create a V-shape that extends outwards to create a lifted illusion.

Hooded Eyes

Hooded or monolid eyes: If no crease is visible when your eyes are open, then you have hooded eyes and you have very little area for eye make-up. The trick is to create extra depth and avoid shimmer. The eyeliner should be thin and crisp.  Also Read - Are Goji Berries Good For Diabetics? Explains Dietician
