Chew Gum

Chewing gum: If you feel the same urge that kids feel when teething, then instead of biting nails or chewing the skin around it, chew some gum. This will keep nails away from your mouth for a longer time.

Clasped hands: To beat the urge of nail biting, clasp your hands tightly or keep them tucked in your pocket. You can even hold a cell phone or something else in your hand to keep them occupied. Doing this regularly will slowly curb the urge to bite nails.
